Monthly social dances are held on the first Friday of the month from September to April in the Town Hall, Richmond (this year we are starting a little later, in November - see the calendar for dates). We dance to recorded music from 7.30 to 10.00pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided during a short interval.

Our final social of the year, in July, is the Summer Social in Reeth, which is always a lovely occasion.

The programmes for each social are prepared and recapped by members of the branch, and dances on the programme are mostly well known and popular in Scottish Country Dancing circles. Cribs are usually available on our website about one month in advance. If you'd like to be put on our mailing list and receive the cribs and other information directly, contact us let us know.

Visitors are always welcome!

A few things to note for 2021:

  • Please take a lateral flow test on the day of the social. If the test is negative and you don't have any symptoms of Covid-19, you're good to go!

  • Hand sanitiser will be provided to be used between dances, or you are welcome to bring your own if you'd prefer. You may wear a mask if you would like to.

  • If you're able to pay by bank transfer (which minimises contact), please get in touch for our bank details. Cheque and cash payments are also accepted.

We are absolutely delighted to be able to be hosting dances again, and these are small things we can all do to help keep one another safe as we come back together again. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you there!
